As future-proof as online photo storage seems to be, the best fail-safe for preserving your pictures is a hard copy.
To prove my point I’ve uploaded pictures of my mother (Jann) between the years 1956-1973. The oldest picture shown is currently 59 years old and it’s still in good condition.
