Happy 59th Birthday Mom

I am so blessed to have my mother in my life. I often reflect on all the sacrifices she’s made. To earn more money my mother worked two jobs at a time to keep food on the table and pay bills. There were obstacles I witnessed my mother overcome. She survived cancer, endured a broken arm, […]

3rd Grade School Photo

Back when I was 8 years old. Don’t you wish you could capture youth and innocence forever? In a way photos make that possible but too bad you can’t relive special moments in time. Perhaps, only in your mind. Here’s a bookmark that I made for my mother in art class. My mom saved it […]

Merry Christmas to all my Christian friends!

Last year I sent Carolina some holiday gifts. I kinda wish they wouldn’t have delivered the gifts at school though because I wasn’t trying to make the other children feel bad or left out. Nevertheless, World Vision sent me another nice photo to cherish. Carolina’s mother (Josefa) and father are doing such an amazing job […]

School Property Sisters

My sister Astede appeared on a page of a school textbook. My other sister Monica appeared in a studio brochure booklet, that sells high school senior portraits. I like the slogan, it reads: “We are not trying to conquer the world… we simply want to rock it!”      They take photos of hundreds of […]

Sugar and Spice Bulletin Board

When school was in session, I used to “bug” Patrick just about every morning before school started. I’d sit in his class and we’d converse while he was preparing lessons plans. One day I wrote a cheerful message on his whiteboard. He didn’t ever turn me away; like some others did.       Even when […]

Pointless Bullying

The bullying in schools is getting out of hand. I graduated from H.S. in the late 90’s so cyber-bullying wasn’t something my peers had to deal with. I didn’t even own a cell phone just a pager. Remember when pay phones were all over the place? Now you seldom see them & chances are when you do it’s “out […]
