Strolling Around PetSmart

I take so many photos of my nephew because I just can’t help myself. First we took a look at the fish but he began yawning. Then we strolled over to the chirping birds. After a few minutes his pacifier became more interesting so we moved along to the cats and kittens.       I am joyful […]

If America Runs on Dunkin

What do other countries run on? I went out in a level one snow emergency just to get donuts. Was it worth it? Heck yeah! If you’re unfamiliar with snow emergency classifications this will give you a better understanding. • Level 1: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be icy. […]

That’s Snow Fun!

I am so proud of my sister Monica for letting her son partake in the same fun activities we enjoyed from our childhood. Ahh good times!       Omari looks like he’s having tons of fun sledding. I know my sister will make sure he has many more happy childhood memories because she’s a wonderful […]

Shattered Glass Chicken Breast

Where I live it’s not uncommon to occasionally hear noises outside, such as a car backfire, music blasting, people yelling, or gunshots but when I heard an unrecognizable “pop” sound that was louder than normal, I had to investigate. For reasons unbeknownst to me the glass pan used to bake a single chicken breast exploded […]

Best Regards Lerry

I sent an email to my platonic friend and ended it with what I thought was Best Regards, Kerry. My friend replied Dear Lerry, to poke fun at me. I guess that’s what I get for not proofreading prior to pushing send. On the computer keyboard the letters K & L are next to each […]

Please Pray for Monica & Omari!

My sister (Monica) and her son (Omari) got into a car accident this morning. She was rear-ended and it wasn’t her fault but unfortunately Monica’s vehicle was totaled. She took her son to the pediatrician to make sure he’s okay. Everything checked out that all is well. He was in a car seat […]

Family Tree

By redeeming 700 Kellogg’s Family Rewards points, I was able to ensure that a tree will be planted in the state of Ohio (North America) with one of many Treecycler reforestation projects. Although we’re not as close-knit as I’d like to be, I humbly dedicate this tree to my entire family.

Sir Kiss-a-Lot

I was just looking at photos on my deactivated phone and came across this one of baby Omari kissing the Lamaze Sir Prance-a-Lot baby horse toy that his daddy got for him. It’s not even Thursday and I’m sharing an adorable throwback photo.      Now that Omari is 28 months old he can say Mommy, Papa, […]

Cuteness Alert Dimples Included

Do you hear the sound of a siren? It is to alert you of all the cuteness coming your way… My sister (Monica) had professional photos of her two-year-old son (Omari) taken! What a dapper little man… Look at those dimples… Cuteness Overload Complete!

Sprucing Up Wooden Beads

I own a brown dress with this decorative beaded collar and braided strap.   After just one wash it got ruined and I exclaimed “Oh, No!” when pulling it out of the washing machine. Was the harshness of the chemicals inside the laundry detergent what caused the beads to fade? I try to handle my nicer […]

White Chocolate Chips Red Velvet Cupcake

I thought my sister (Monica) gave me the idea for this but after baking them she said I must’ve dreamt that. Well, now they exist! A traditional red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting topped with white chocolate chips. You should try it! My nephew (Omari) went to town… Eating all the frosting off the […]

Funny Pacifier Face

Having Omari in my life, even though he’s not mine, has made me a better person. I smile and laugh so much more nowadays. Being in a good mood affects my overall well-being, which benefits more than just myself. I’ve developed much more patience and the ability to pour out love on a whole nother […]

What kind of dog treat is that?

At first glance these ice cream cones startled me because I thought they had bugs inside. I’m not exactly sure what that “cream” is supposed to be though. Dogs can eat unsalted shelled sunflower seeds in moderation but the yarn strings some small children added for decoration is a no-go for Fido.

Good Morning this Afternoon

Today, around twelve thirtyish I went shopping at Costco to pick up a few things. When I told the greeter “Good Morning” he replied “Well, good morning this afternoon.” It took a minute for his response to sink in but after it did, we looked at each other and both started laughing simultaneously.
