Goodie Goodie Gumdrops

Guess what came in the mail today? A new photo of my sponsor child Carolina and her annual progress report. It says that her favorite subject in school is Art (check out the pretty flowers she colored). Her best friend is named Oscar. Favorite color is red and she enjoys playing soccer. Carolina is currently 8 years old and her household chore is washing dishes. She is going to be such a beautiful person inside and out when she grows up. She is such a sweet little girl whenever I send her gifts and stickers she writes back to say THANK YOU and that she shares them with her siblings and school friends. How sweet is that?

Next year I want to visit her in person. I can’t wait to see what her parents & siblings look like & give them all a BIG hug. I promise to share that once in a lifetime experience with you by taking photos. I do not wish to disclose her exact location but she lives in Central America. World Vision is such an amazing charity. When I get ready to make that trip I can contact them, get all the info and they will have an interpreter there to help me and show me around her village. How cool is that? I am so excited & anxious. I will start saving my money to make that dream come true in 2011!

WorldVision.org is such a wonderful humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. I have been a loyal sponsor since 2005 because they serve ALL people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender. Did you know that 89% of World Vision’s revenue goes to programs helping children & families in need? 7% goes to Fundraising and the other 4% goes to General & Administration. This my friends is just a few reasons why World Vision meets all 20 Standards for Charity Accountability and are a Better Business Bureau (BBB) Accredited Seal Holder!

I am sure you have heard about some children sponsorship programs ripping people off and not giving to those who really need it. Sadly some of those stories are TRUE but I can assure you that World Vision is NOT one of those charities. God Bless their hearts!
